I have the great good fortune to live near my grandchildren. My oldest grandson runs across the driveway quite frequently to hang with his Mimi. Last weekend he wanted to know, “Mimi, can we do some crafts?”, to which I replied, “Sure!”
I keep a drawer full of all kinds of crafty things we can do together…markers, paper, puzzles, crayons, glue, etc. he rummaged around and came out with some sparkly pipe cleaners. He wanted a butterfly, and this is what I came up with, showing him with each step how to make it. He decided to embellish it himself with some glittery stickers.
Sharing time and know how. That’s how you create a new generation of creative makers…that’s how you make life…DIY.
