We have grown onions in the same two beds for several years. Being that the beds are constructed of wood, a certain amount of decay had occurred, not to mention the guy that delivered my “playhouse” ran over one of the beds! So, some DIY repair work was in order before this years onions could be planted. Here is what the beds looked like before we got them ready for planting.

Because there were some dry rot spots, but not enough to throw away all of the boards, I cut some pieces of 4×4 and screwed the boards to them to make the corners sturdier. I did have to replace a couple of boards altogether.

Here is the finished project, all cleaned out and ready to plant onions!
