If you live gluten free, try my pie crust recipe to make your own gluten free crust.
Renee’s gluten free pie crust
1 cup all purpose gluten free flour blend
1 cup almond flour/meal
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup chilled coconut oil
Pulse the dry ingredients in a food processor, add the cold coconut oil and pulse until the mix looks like crumbs. With the food processor running, add ice water a tsp at a time, until it begins to gather into a ball and thump around the food processor. Wrap the dough in plastic and chill in the refrigerator for at least an hour. When ready, roll the dough out on wax paper and put the pie plate on the dough, upside down. Flip the whole mess over and put the dough into the pan. Poke all over the bottom with a fork. Bake for 15 minutes in a preheated 400 degree oven. Makes enough for two single crust or one double crust pie. Fill with your own strawberry pie and make life DIY!
