Today we experimented with bubbles.

It was a beautiful morning, and Bug Boy was hanging out at my house. While Little Brother napped inside, we were out the back door, having a little soapy fun.

We started with regular old store bought bubbles, which were kind of wimpy. I recalled seeing a recipe somewhere for “super bubbles”, so a quick Pinterest search yielded a recipe for 3 cups of water, a cup of dish soap and 1/4 cup of corn syrup. But we decided 1/2 cup of corn syrup gave us a much sturdier bubble. Once we used all of that up, we then experimented with adding corn syrup to the commercial bubbles, which worked just as well.

Yes, Bug Boy is wearing his t-shirt inside out and backwards…that’s just how he rolls.
I can’t think of a better way to spend a Saturday morning! Make some bubbles today and make life DIY!
