If any of you follow me on Facebook, you probably saw my patio picture earlier this week.

While many of you may have been admiring my color choice in nail polish, all I saw was, “Wow! I really need to scrub the patio!” Algae, moss and mushrooms were beginning to thrive on the mostly shady side, as you can see in the above picture. So Saturday, after a quick trip to the local hardware store for a stiff bristled push broom and a bag of sand, I hosed, swept, hosed some more, then scrubbed a mixture of hot water and Borax on my pavers, hosed and swept some more, and this happened.

I waited for everything to dry, (which at 94 degrees Fahrenheit, didn’t take very long), then dumped some of the sand out and used the broom to refill all of the joints. Here is my view now…much better!
How are you spending your weekend?
