The two or three of you who are keeping up with me (thanks, Mom!) may recall that I bought a shed this past spring. I did a previous blog post about insulating and finishing the inside. So I have pretty much done that. I even wired it myself! My son ran a final inspection on my wiring to make sure I had it right. So here is what it looked like this weekend as I got things set up.
Some time ago, I taught Bug Boy how to spin on my spinning wheel. He was a natural, and made a red, white and olive green thick and thin yarn, whose colorway he promptly named “Zombie Yarn”. He expressed an interest in learning to weave with his yarn, so enter our new Ashford Sample It loom. I put a finish on all of the pieces and together, we assembled it. There just happened to be the perfect colored warp yarn in my stash to match his hand spun yarn, so we warped up, I taught him some basics, and now he’s weaving along!
